We took a family vacation to Colorado July 3-13. My sister lives in Denver and we hadn't been to visit her there since Hudson was 8 months old. My mom joined us for the fun and adventure and it was wonderful to have her helping hands with keeping Hudson entertained and happy. :) We traveled half way there and spent the night with some good friends in Kearney, Nebraska. Then we drove the rest of the way on July 4th. Roy got tickets for us to attend the Rockies baseball game several months ago, so we were all looking forward to that. It was a beautiful night, a perfect night really, to enjoy a baseball game. Hudson wasn't super interested in the game and we had to park about a mile away from the stadium, but the rest of the night was full of fun and blessings. A highlight for sure, and probably worth the admission to the game in and of itself, was the fireworks display after the game. It was amazing and a grand way to close out the night.
Coors Field was a packed house for the night.
Rockies vs. Dodgers
Mom and I chillin' out and relaxing, while watching a bit of the game.
These two are such buddies. Its fun to watch them together. Aunt Ang is so great with Hudson and always has a way of including him and making him feel special. We so wish she lived closer so she could help babysit. :)
Hudson loves his Daddy! We were both thrilled to have over a week together and soaked it all the sweet family time.
Here is just a glimpse of the fireworks display. Notice all the people that moved from the left and centerfield seating areas to sit on the outfield. It was an impressive show, to say the least.
