Handsome Hudson

 A few weeks ago we attended a wedding.  We all got dressed up for the event, including Hudson.  

It was great for Hudson to meet our dear friend Nate who lives in China.

A 90th Birthday Party

This past weekend we took baby Hudson on his first road trip to Sioux Center.  He slept all the way there and back in his car seat.  :)  We went to celebrate my Grandma Dorothy's 90th birthday.  It was a great party and everyone enjoyed meeting and holding the newest member of the Bomgaars clan.

She couldn't believe how much I have changed since she saw me in February.

Hudson's First Stroller Ride

With the beautiful weather this week and warmer temperatures, Hudson and I took advantage of it by going on our first walk together.  I know this is just the first of MANY more.  He did great and lasted for 45 minutes!  Hudson slept for the first part of it and then sucked on his hands for the 2nd half of the ride.  I bundled him up (likely more than he needed to be).  I was super excited to take my baby on a walk.  :)

We are blessed to spend lots of time with friends and family these days.

On Thursday night we went over to meet the Buse twins.
They were born just 8 days after Hudson.
It will be fun to watch the 3 of them grow, change, and play together at small group.

Uncle Ryan stopped by to see us this weekend.

Special Friends...Special Times!  

New Toys

Over the past 10 days we have been introducing Hudson to some of his new toys.

It has been fun to see him try them out and explore in them.  

Hudson is working to hit the fish in his "Under The Sea" play gym.  

Looking at himself in the crab mirror is fun too.   

His froggy bouncer even put him to sleep one day.  Mommy was amazed!  

Yesterday we tried out the swing he got as a gift from Grandma Swinger.

A Lil' Swinger needs to have a swing!  

He was not so sure about it at first, but we think he liked the music it played, if not the swing.  :)  

1 Month

Yesterday Hudson turned 1 month old!  The first month has been filled with many first things for both Hudson and his parents.  :)  Here are some pictures in his 1 month onesie that we wanted to share.  

A few of the memorable events from the first month are...

1.  Spending lots of time with family and having many visitors come to meet him
2.  Hudson has only left the house to go to the doctor's office for weight checks and to the hospital for lactation appointments
3.  After much hard work nursing, Hudson's weight at 1 month is 9 pounds 5 ounces
4.  His newborn clothes are starting to get too short and the newborn diapers will not last much longer
5.  He is getting so much stronger and is starting to hold up his head
6.  Hudson is a good little sleeper and we still wake him often when it is time to eat
7.  He is opening his eyes more and more and is so close to a smile :)
